Mindfulness and wellbeing clubs for Kids aged 2-11 yrs

We don’t do sit still meditation. At little blooms, wellbeing and mindfulness are woven into every game, every art activity and every shared story.

Hi! I am Bharathy

I am a practicing mindfulness based psychotherapist. I trained under Dr Joe Loizzo, Professor of clinical psychiatry Cornell university. I am also a yoga and breath work teacher. I am deeply interested in preserving the innate mindfulness that children are born with.

Children are born mindful, but soon this mindful awareness fades to the background as the noise and demands of the world catch up. Giving them an opportunity to connect with their own awareness and develop it, is not a luxury or an extra, but a necessity in the current hyper stimulated world.

After a busy school day, my club aims to offer the perfect opportunity to unwind and engage in a mix of mindful play, art and intentional activities.

What do we do in the club?

Play games, learn mindful tools and techniques, do therapeutic art activities, listen to stories, talk about and do group activities around intentional topics like kindness, gratitude, feelings, resilience and finally, relax!

How could children benefit?

Children may feel calmer, collected and more relaxed after the sessions. Nervous regulation may be a much welcome side effect. Emotional awareness, and skills to regulate may be a handy benefit.
